As a Disabled Veteran, I have faced ongoing mental health challenges related to stress, transition, and internal battles many veterans carry quietly.
During that time, I found calm and focus through the structure of the game of pool.
Pool became a tool for discipline, emotional regulation, and mental balance. I was no longer Isolating and being alone, my community helped and welcomed me, I honestly feel rescued from my very own self designed mental prison!
What helped me became the foundation for helping others.
Cue The Calm Foundation:
The Foundation helps cover costs such as pool equipment, league fees, travel, and participation so veterans can take part in organized, welcoming programs.
These programs are designed to create routine, reduce isolation, and support confidence, emotional balance, and mental resilience.
We also raise awareness through community outreach, events, and competitive participation.
Cue The Calm Foundation is a nonprofit organization in formation and has applied for recognition as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
